Xander Week 113 – Fun Times at the Park

We are fortunate to have a few couples in and around town who have children close in age to ours (well, two of them are still “in the oven”, but they’ll be relatively close to Parker in age when they finally arrive). Last weekend all six adults and 4 children met at the local park. It was lots of fun to watch the kids and parents playing together. I thought that after an hour or so, we’d all be ready to head our separate ways, but over 2 hours later, the parents were ready to drag the kids off to lunch and/or naps.
It’s great to have friends who are also parents in the area. We’re planning a trip the the New England Aquarium soon, and I trust we’ll all have a good time. My parents have a core group of friends who all had kids about my age and my sister’s age. We are still close with several of these “kids”.
I remember fondly many of the shenanigans us kids got into years and years ago and I hope this little band of children will have the opportunity to develop similar happy memories.
Shenanigans – us?! No! haha….we sure did have great times as kids…
