I was preggers with twins too, and I found I was about 22 weeks when I felt the first unmistaken movement. The thing is, we didnt know it was twins, but I knew something was up when I found that alot of the movement was felt more in the rectal area!!! That's when we got suspicious, because I'm a twin as well, and my mom used to tell us how she cud feel us EVERY where.
Good luck girls!!!! Hope you are ALL feeling terrific!!

Hi, I am 27 weeks and 6 days. I am having my 4th boy. My OB appt last week they said I am measuring 32 which according to my doctor, is way to big for dates. I am scheduled for an ultrasound next week to see if the baby is getting really big, or if it is something else. My entire family is convinced that it is twins and the second is just hiding out, because nothing has ever even hinted at that with other tests.

Hi Stacie - congrats on your third! I don't think you've got much to worry about if you haven't felt much at 19 weeks - just a few days ago a woman posted about being 22 weeks along with twins, and she wasn't feeling much movement either. I know it's scary to find out what's really happening, but I think it's also a relief to know - and I bet that once you have the ultrasound you'll find that everything is going along just as it's supposed to. If you think you'll be extra worried this weekend, try calling your doctor - perhaps they can alleviate your concerns over the phone, or bring you in for a quick check up. Good luck - and try not to worry - enjoy the ultrasound, and the first picture of the latest edition to your family!

Hi Sara - twins, wow! Congratulations!! I don't have much experience with twins, so I'm not sure if I've got any good answers about their movement. One could guess that with two, there is a little less room to move around, and therefore, less room to get up enough momentum to give you a really good jab. However, I have heard of women not feeling much movement before 25 weeks as well, so perhaps it's just that your girls are dainty little ones who are politely wiggling around, and won't really start kicking at you for a few more weeks. As I often recommend, try sitting or laying someplace quiet, and see how much movement you can feel. And if you are still worried, call your doctor - if they aren't able to alleviate your concerns over the phone, perhaps they'll have you go in for a check up. Good luck, and please keep us posted on how you are doing!!
