‘Tis The Season

Yes, that's a Christmas stocking on his head and yes, he asked me to take his picture...

Jenny The Bloggess inspired me.  Last year we had a tough Christmas.  Luckily for me, we have an absolutely wonderful family and they saved the day.  This year things are better and we are more comfortable.  It was not hard to find the Christmas spirit this year and my children are seeing the magic of Christmas all over the place.  It’s time to pay it forward.  I will select 3 random comments from this post (please include email address!) and send each person a $30 Amazon Gift Card.

Happy Holidays!

  1. If more people would pay it forward the way you and Jenny are, this world would be a much happier place. Thank you for using your readership to help those in need.

  2. What a great gesture! We just moved to a new city so my husband could begin grad. school. Since I am staying at home for awhile with our 3 year old and 3 week old daughters, money will be a little tighter than it used to be!

  3. Ashley,

You don’t have to send me anything since I’m hoping and praying that my little family gets something from a donor on Jenny’s site- with a baby’s birthday coming up and Christmas..I’m stressed! I just wanted to say how truly beautiful it is that you are paying it forward from her site in this way. God Bless you and your little family this year. You truly deserve it. Merry Christmas.

  4. This is the time of year to think of others, thank you for the reminder. Your older son and my son share the same birthday so I sort of feel like we are kindred spirits. LOL Merry Christmas!

  5. So happy for you! I wrote in last year because we were going through a similar situation. We finally sold our house and are in the process of buying a new one, so things are looking up. I love reading your blog and watching your boys grow up along with my own :)

  6. So glad that this year is better for your family. May the holidays be all that you expect them to be. I have loved reading about your boys, since i have boys as well!

  7. Don’t include me in the drawing, save it for those who need it. I just wanted to say that I am so happy for you, and the outpouring of generosity from you and from the Bloggess and everyone has been so inspiring. You all are making me cry! Thank you for reaching out to help others.

  8. This is a great thing you are doing. Just when things seem bleak, something like this happens – and my faith is renewed. Merry Christmas, from my little family, to yours.

  9. Thank you so much for this! It made my morning, and means I get to do a little on-line shopping today.

    Have a blessed Christmas!

  10. So I used a random number generator site to pick 3 comments from this post and I sent out Amazon email gift cards this morning. I really have to thank all of you because it felt wonderful! We are far from “rich” monetarily but to be able to pass a little bit along is truly a great feeling. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season!

  11. Thank you so much! I was able to get a little something for each of my daughters, with enough time to be delivered by Christmas! I can’t wait to see their little faces! I cannot thank you enough!

    Merry Christmas!
