Ultrasounds are always exciting - I hope your little one cooperates so you can find out boy or girl! It's too bad you're on your own so much. I'd suggest checking around the area to find out if there is a mom's club or something you could join. I know if I wasn't working, I'd go crazy being by myself in the house with 2 kids every day. The first few months you might not be able to do too much, but as the baby gets older and onto a schedule, I bet it would be nice to get out and spend time with other moms and kids in the area. Mine will be about 24 months and 10 days apart. I know I will have my hands full as dad isn't home a ton, and we moved here to CT for his job so we don't have those extra hands here. I've found that having a second pair of hands around (Daddy, a grandparent or a friend) is usually the key to less crying and stress in the house. There is much less rest for the parents since we're both busy with a kid pretty much all the time, but we're surviving ;-) It is definitely weird to pick your baby's birthday, but it was strangely relaxing too - I had everything planned and ready to go. I recently found out I am pregnant and they will be 24 months apart.
