People who so adamantly criticize child protection agencies and claim the states are stealing kids for money are hurting children.

Obviously the truth even when told and proven will be denied by many.

Fact is 2000 children a year in the USA alone are killed by child abuse and neglect of their parents and caregivers. This is fact.

Check out the facts, Go to adoptuskids.com and see the children that child protection agencies remove from their parents home. In my opinion too many cps workers do to little.

Parents who abuse always claim they are falsely accused. Well, cps does not drive down a street and just knock on doors, they follow complaints and follow through with them.

I have little use for abusive parents and even less for those who claim false allegations.

The reason people do not put on thanks here for CPS is probably because they are not searching for issues such as this for dcyf resolved their issues and don't even know this site exists.

After all, Sara is not advertising,

I have had dealing with dcyf and found them to be overly cautius in making a founded report.

Yes, the courts have the say. DCYF would not make the foolish remarks I've seen here. Of cause Paula, could have people respond here.

Until the incentive of Adoption Bonus' are done away with the sometimes unscrupulous practices of child protective services will continue unabated - there is just too much federal money up for grabs for parents to get justice either from the courts or DCYF. Perhaps the following will better explain why allegations against innocent parents are "supported" so frequently.

These words below are taken directly from the Administration For Families (HHS) website.......

"HHS Secretary Tommy G. Thompson today announced approximately $14.9 million in bonuses paid to 25 states and Puerto Rico for increasing the number of children adopted from state-supervised foster care in fiscal year 2002. In states that qualify for bonuses, 3,703 more children were adopted in fiscal year 2002 than in the previous year".

"HHS' Administration on Children and Families (ACF) provides a bonus payment to each state that completed more adoptions in 2002 than in each of the five previous years. Each qualifying state receives a bonus of $4,000 per child adopted beyond its next best year's total. States may also receive a bonus of $2,000 for each child with special needs adopted beyond the largest number of special needs children adopted in any of the previous five years".

"Adoption incentives have been highly successful in encouraging states to increase the annual number of adoptions performed".

I agree wholeheartedly with Greg....There is not now, nor has there ever been a plan to "re-unify" the family that DCYF tore apart. Despite my son's many questions as to why he cannot see or even speak to ANY member of his family, DCYF and its corrupt providers tell him that it was the court that says so......they neglect to tell him that the court made its decision based upon their lies and their violating the court orders....

Hi Greg, I appreciate your comment. I would like to point out that all of my posts regarding DCYF are specifically from my point of view, and that I cannot speak about specific cases. In my personal experience, I can say that I did not lie to clients. The policies that I operated under were not corrupt. Myself and my co-workers did indeed care about getting to the truth, and I can tell you that no one gets into this line of work to get rich - they do it because they do indeed care about families and the safety of children. That is not to say that workers don't ever get burned out and cynical, because they do. But, in my experience, the workers I knew truly cared about the impact they had on families.

sorry but dcyf is one of the most corrupt organizations out there. The lies and tactics are corrupt and wrong. That is why I am now taking them to court. They do not care about the truth or families.
